About the Journal

REDSA (Ecuadorian Journal of Social and Environmental Development) is a peer-reviewed, indexed, and open-access electronic journal, founded in 2016 under the editorial direction of Jonathan Barco Acosta. Its main purpose is to promote the free dissemination of original and unpublished works by both national and international authors, with a special emphasis on the sustainable development of Ecuador and Latin America. The publication encompasses diverse academic types, including scientific and technological research articles, systematic reviews, case studies, reflective essays, and meta-analyses, all aimed at generating significant and high-impact contributions for the scientific community, the public sector, social organizations, and society as a whole.

The target audience includes researchers, academics, teachers at all educational levels, professionals, decision-makers, non-governmental organizations, and university students working in the fields of social development and environmental sustainability, from a multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary perspective. The journal aims to foster a culture of applied research, promoting scientific development and the social appropriation of knowledge as pillars of sustainable progress and social transformation.
