Corrections and Retractions

REDSA protects the integrity of the scholarly record through transparent procedures for correcting published content.

Corrections

Errors affecting interpretation, metadata, attribution, or relevant parts of an article will be corrected through a notice linked to the original version. Purely typographical changes that do not alter content may be corrected directly, with an editorial record when necessary.

Retractions

An article may be retracted when reliable evidence shows unreliable findings, fabrication, falsification, substantial plagiarism, redundant publication, unethical research, fraudulent authorship, or other serious misconduct. The original text will remain identifiable as retracted to preserve the record, and the notice will explain the reasons without defamatory language.

Expressions of concern

When an investigation cannot be concluded promptly and there are well-founded concerns about an article's reliability or integrity, the journal may issue a temporary expression of concern.

Requests

Requests should be sent to editor@redsa.ec with the article identification, DOI, description of the issue, and available evidence. The editorial team will seek responses from involved parties and document the decision.
